Minutes after pleading guilty to a gang-related stabbing death, a man gets married in the same courtroom.

Joshua Martin Miracle, 26, faces death or life in prison without parole in the stabbing death of Elias Raymond Silva on October 3.

He and longtime girlfriend Christina Beltran, 21 exchanged vows, while Miracle was handcuffed and donning an orange jail jumpsuit. The groom/convict managed to sneak in a kiss before being hauled away.

Miracle has represented himself in the murder case, with help from his court appointed advisory lawyer. He attempted to plead guilty, but California law prohibits defendants in capital cases from pleading guilty without the consultation of an attorney.

The judge accepted the guilty plea Friday, after Miracle's advisory attorney Joe Allen assured the defendant was fully aware of the consequences of his pleas.

Silva was stabbed 48 times after Miracle lured him into an apartment.
