A local man was apprehended by police for using a hedgehog as a weapon and throwing it at a teenager.
According to police, 27-year old William Singalargh took the hedgehog and threw it about 16 feet at a 15-year old boy.
The boy was hit, and was slightly injured, according to authorities.
Singalargh was then arrested and charged "for assault with a weapon, namely the hedgehog."
According to the AFP, officials were unsure if the hedgehog was alive before it was thrown. It was, however, dead when police found it, and is now being used as evidence.
The suspect is scheduled for an April 17 court appearance for the charges.
