Authorities say a Japanese man confessed to killing two people he met on a suicide website and who he believed shared his desire to die.
Hiroshi Maeue, 36, an employee at a staffing agency, was arrested Friday on suspicion of suffocating Michiko Nagamoto, 25, in February.
He has also reportedly confessed to killing a male junior high school student in May, and a male college student in June. He claims to have dumped their bodies in the southern mountains of Osaka Prefecture.
Late Saturday, police found what appears to be partial remains of the junior high school student on a mountain slope where Maeue said he had buried the body.
Osaka police suspect Maeue proposed to Nagamoto that they both commit suicide, despite having no intention of killing himself. He is suspected of murdering her on February 19 inside a rented car after sending her an email asking for a meeting.
The victim's body was found February 23 and later identified through fingerprints.
Police add Maeue admitted to killing Nagamoto and told investigators he feels "sexually excited" when seeing a person suffocated and suffering.
Authorities traced the crime to Maeue by tracking down records of e-mails, as well as the car rental contract.
Since his mid-20's, Maeue has been arrested on several occasions for attempting to suffocate female passersby on streets. In 2002, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for one of those incidents.
Suicide Web sites have received increased attention lately, as a number of people have committed suicide in groups after meeting through the Internet. Groups usually commit suicide through carbon monoxide poisoning.
