Gayadhar Parida, an 84-year-old villager of Kuligaon village in eastern Indian state of Orissa has been living in a tree for the last 50 years after disturbance with his wife, reports IANS.

Wife of Gayadhar told, "We quarreled over a tiny issue and that is why he left me and promised not to live with me and return home till his death."

Since that day Kandahar living in a tree, nearby his house, and accepting food offered by his family members.

He moved trees when his first tree house was destroyed in a storm but he has never moved back into his home in Kuligaon, Orissa, reports a newspaper.

According to the report Gayadhar has often spent days and nights on the tree without any food, coming down only to take water from a pond in the garden.
