A Comcast Corp. employee has lost his job after allegedly falling asleep on the customer's couch during a house call. The customer posted the video of the incident on the Internet last week.

The company has apologized for the incident. The customer, Brian Finkelstein of Washington, D.C. posted a video of the sleeping technician on YouTube.com, a site that lets users share videos. Finkelstein also narrated his experience on the 58 seconds video.

Reportedly, Finkelstein's Comcast Internet connection had worked only intermittently after he moved to a new apartment on June 1. A company technician who came to Finkelstein's home June 14 to replace the modem called the company for help. While waiting for help, the technician took a brief siesta on a couch in the customer's sitting room.

Eager to share his experience, Finkelstein filmed the sleeping technician and posted the video for others to see. Last August, the company suffered a similar experience and fired two employees in the Chicago region. The victims changed a woman's name on her bill to a derogatory term after she repeatedly complained about poor service.
