A man finds a unique way to propose to his girlfriend, by setting himself on fire before dropping on one knee and asking her hand in marriage.
Todd Grannis, 38, climbed a 10-foot scaffold, set himself on fire, wearing a gasoline-soaked cape, and jumped into a swimming pool. After he emerged, he approached his girlfriend, got on one knee, and proposed saying, "Honey, you make me hot. I hope I'm getting the point across that I'm on fire for you."
The crowd of one hundred cheered as his girlfriend, Malissa Kusiek, accepted. She added she was a bit upset because of the danger involved.
Grannis came up with the plan with help from his friend, professional stuntman Eric Barkey, who pulled out a photo of himself on fire and told Grannis, "you could do that."
