A German man started off his new year with a bad start with his step-daughter. Desperate for alcohol, the unidentified and unemployed man sold the six-year-old girl's beagle for beer money.
He managed to make the transaction by offering to take the young girl's three-year-old dog for a walk and then made his way to a local bar where he convinced a barman to give him 40 euros for the dog.
According to reports, the step-daughter and her beagle have been reunited as the owner of the bar has since returned the dog to it's young owner.
