In a bid to prove his faithfulness to his doubting wife, a Malaysian man severed his penis as the last resort to make his case.

The man was reportedly doing fine on Tuesday following a surgery to reattach the organ.

The incident took place after arguments ensued between the couple. His wife intercepted a text message that was sent on his husband's cell by another woman.

A local tabloid said the 41-year-old man began screaming in his room saying he was innocent. When his teenage son approached his room, he saw his father bleeding. He was transferred to a hospital.
