A man is stabbed by his wife after he taunts her about her dog's death, and dares her to brandish a decorative sword sitting above their fireplace.
Police reports indicate John A. Kurceba taunted his wife when he came home at about 7:30 p.m. Monday and learned their dog had been put to sleep earlier in the day. An argument ensued, and John told his wife to "just get the sword b----." That's when she grabbed the sword and lunged toward him.
According to police reports, Kurceba, 53, was stabbed through his right bicep and into his right side; his injuries are not life-threatening.
His wife, Priscilla is charged with aggravated domestic battery and booked into Duval County Jail. She is eventually freed on bond.
Not surprisingly, the couple is currently seeking divorce.
