In the first ever case of its kind, a Cook County jury has reportedly ordered a man to pay $4,802 last week after he was sued by a husband from a Chicago suburb for having an affair with his wife.

The husband, Arthur Friedman used alienation of affection law, one of eight across the country to sue his wife's lover, German Blinov. The law allows spouses to seek damages for the loss of love.

The man's wife, Natalie Friedman, claims she had sex with other men and women, including Blinov, with the consent of her husband, who wanted her to do so to spice up their relationship.

Natalie said things went smooth between them until she started having feelings for Blinov that prompted her husband to file the lawsuit.

Arthur told the Chicago Sun-Times about Blinov: "What he did was wrong. And I did what I had to do to get my point across. This guy ruined my life - he back-stabbed me."

Blinov, who confesses he had relationship with Natalie Friedman while she was married, is now equally shocked to learn he could be sued for it. His attorney now claims Natalie Friedman was unhappy with her marriage before their relationship set off.
