Dania Beach, FL (AHN) -
Bryan Bindman will only stop for bathroom breaks during the marathon session that began at 10 a.m. Monday.
Bindman is a University of Miami graduate. He works as a waiter at TGIFriday's and is an aspiring storyboard artist.
After a recent interest to "give back,", he talked to Make-A-Wish and they came up with "Coasting for the Kids."
Bindman says, "There were things going on in my life that I was unhappy with and I decided I wanted to do something for the community. I wanted to do something for myself and I wanted to do something that will make a mark."
One lap around the Dania Beach Hurricane takes about two minutes to complete. The rollercoaster has a 100-foot drop and reaches speeds of up to 50 to 60 mph.
Bindman says he did not eat or drink very much before beginning his challenge, but he has some granola bars in his pockets in case he gets hungry.
The ride is open for other people who want to join Bindman throughout the day. Bindman has already raised $1,600 for his efforts.
