A man police say was drunk and threatening a group of motorcyclists with a pool cue was hit by his own car. The accident happened when the man tried to approach the bikers.

Richard Brooks, 50, was pulled out of the way by motorcyclists after his car knocked him into the highway. He'd left the car in reverse.

Brooks was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence. He told police he was offended by the skeltons some of the riders had on their jackets and that they thought they were better than him.

He was treated at a hospital for cuts and scrapes, but he remains in jail on a $30,000 bond.
