Kevin Pugh of Cedar Bluff might have not thought of what a prank could cost him, and that too if the prank involved a 60 pound pig. The 20-year-old has been fined $279 for tossing a pig over the counter at the Holiday Inn Express in West Point and faces charges in the city court.

According to West Point Police Lt. Danny McCaskill, the incident happened on Nov. 12 when walked into the hotel and threw the 60-pound pig over the counter.

"This was the silliest thing I've ever seen," McCaskill told the AP. "He said it was a prank. It must be some redneck thing, because I haven't ever heard of anything like it."

But that was not it. McCaskill said four more similar incidents involving animal-tossing were reported from separate West Point businesses. In two incidents a pig was tossed and two of the incidents involved possums.

"Almost every officer we had was involved because the incidents kept happening at different hours," McCaskill said adding that all the four disturbances took place between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

Pugh on Tuesday pleaded guilty to a charge of disturbing the peace.
