A man is arrested after police say he threw a 2-month-old black Labrador puppy off his fifth-floor balcony.

Police say Josper Sanon, 49, reacted when the puppy urinated and defecated inside the apartment. Investigators also report Sanon threw the puppy over the balcony to its death in front of his two sons.

Sanon's 16-year-old son was found crying outside in the apartment building parking lot by a passing patrol officer. He proceeded to tell the officer his father killed the puppy by throwing it off the balcony.

Sanon is charged with animal cruelty and being held on $2,500 bond.

Sanon's sons are staying with a relative while their father remains in jail.
