A pet shop owner in Serbia who claimed he couldn't afford a car alarm, was arrested after a six-foot snake he placed inside his car escaped.
Authorities said Radovan Darkic, left the snake in his E-Class Mercedes every evening to make sure no one would steal the car.
Ironically, Darkic was forced to call the police when he found it had slithered its way out through an open window and into the engine compartment. He was later arrested by officers who responded to his call for endangering public safety.
"I only wanted to make sure that even if I couldn't take revenge on anyone who dared to rob my car then at least the snake could do it for me," Darkic said.
