News reports indicate a Malaysian man, about to jump to his death from a highway overpass, changes his mind after being told his pet dog is dying.

The 40-year-old man recently lost his job and threatened to jump from a 33-foot bridge in Kuala Lumpur Sunday. Rescue workers asked the man to think of his wife and kids, but to no avail.

When they found the suicidal man's dog locked inside his car, they told him his pet would soon suffocate if left unattended.
