Snow breaks mans fall and allows for a happy ending to what had the potential to be a deadly accident.

A man plummets 130 feet from a helicopter but escapes injury because deep snow cushioned his fall.

The man, according to Newsday.com, was hanging from the helicopter by rope, to make repairs, when the knot came undone and he slipped free.

According to a police report, the man was taken by rescue helicopter to a nearby hospital for a medical checkup as a precaution but appears to have no injuries.
