A booming real estate market has Canadian marijuana growers looking toward cheaper land in northern Ontario as a way to cut down on costs. In the past two weeks, police say they have made two massive pot busts in sparsely populated towns in northern Ontario, a region better known for its mining, timber and paper mills.

A Texas man is arrested on Monday after calling the cops to complain someone had stolen his stash of marijuana. Stephen Knight, 17, called authorities and said three men broke into his apartment, hogtied him with Christmas lights, and stole some marijuana, as well as a plasma screen television.

A Florida Sheriff's deputy used a shock from a Taser gun to subdue an intoxicated 13-year-old San Carlos Park girl who attacked two nurses at Lee Memorial Hospital early Thursday. The teen later was cleared medically by hospital staff and sent to the Lee County Juvenile Assessment Center on charges ranging from loitering to battery and resisting arrest.

he Associated Press reveals anti-drug advocates are not amused over a marijuana-flavored candy being sold nationwide. Lollipops with names like Purple Haze, Acapulco Gold, and Rasta are currently available in convenience stores and smoke shops nationwide. They're flavored with hemp oil from the marijuana plant.
