A teenage couple crashed on board a small-chartered plane in which the young man planned to propose to his girlfriend. The engagement ring was lost in the accident.

Adam Sutton, 19, told his girlfriend Erika Brussee, 18, they were going on a date to the movies. Instead of going to the movies as promised, Sutton took her to the airport in Rome, Georgia. They boarded a small-chartered flight on Friday.

Sutton had planned for his family members to carry a large sign on the ground that read, "Will you marry me?" The plan failed, as Brussee only saw the word "marry." The plane which was still flying on low altitude when it crashed at the airport.

The two teenagers were not seriously hurt. However, Brussee still accepted the proposal in the ambulance transporting them to the hospital. Sutton couldn't offer her the ring as it was buried in the wreck of the plane.
