The California Department of Public Health officials announced it is restoring the words "bride" and "groom" on all marriage license forms issued in California starting Nov. 17. The move was in response to the clamor of many couple who still prefer the traditional terms instead of the gender-neutral "Party A" and "Party B," introduced when the same-sex marriage was legalized on June 16 to replace the "bride" and "groom" words.

A man dubbed the 'bling-bandit' for the flashy watch and ring he wore while robbing banks is now in custody, but he's not the usual suspect. The bling-bandit turned out to be Athelson Kelson, 59, a retired New York Police Department detective and a decorated Vietnam Veteran.

A lesbian couple will make gay history by becoming the first legal Indian same-sex marriage accepted by the Coquille Tribe. The soon-to-be wed couple, Kitzen Doyle and Jeni Branting, had been in a committed lesbian relationship since high school.

A study by the Kaiser Family Foundation released Tuesday said 7 percent of adults in the U. S. tie the knot to have access to insurance. Experts were not surprised by the finding as the Kaiser report showed the number of uninsured in the U. S. , currently 47 million, are even increasing in number. Over 8 of 10 uninsured come from families with incomes below 200 percent of the 2006 federal poverty level of $41,000 for a family of four.
