A 24-year-old man married an 82-year-old woman after years of romance in the northern Argentine city of Santa Fe in a civil ceremony Friday. The marriage was attended by family members and friends.

One little misplaced word has opened up a can of worms in Arkansas. A law passed this year appears to read that people of any age can get married with parental consent. The law would even allow infants to marry if parents sign off on it. The governor may have to call a special session to fix the bill. It was meant to set the minimum age to marry at 18 and allow pregnant teenagers to get married if their parents sign.

Bao Xishun, a 7-foot-9-inch herdsman from Inner Mongolia, has finally tied the knot. His bride is a 28-year-old saleswoman from his hometown who stands at a mere 5 feet 6 inches tall. The couple wed in a traditional ceremony at the tomb of Kublai Khan in Erdos city in northern China. More than 2,000 people turned out for the wedding, including relatives, locals and a large crowd of media persons, the AP reports.

Lebanese couples plan on getting married on July 7. They consider the day to be lucky, as it combines three sevens, 7-7-7. Most churches have already been booked and many Muslim sheikhs are expected to be busy marrying couples on Saturday.
