Max and Bessie Cohen died Monday, after being married for 74 years and nine months. What is interesting, is that Max died from complications of dementia at 97, and she in her sleep at 94, only an hour apart from each other.

Daughter, Marilyn Berman of Pikesville says, "They died within an hour of one another. I still can't believe it. She died at 6 a.m., and he died exactly an hour later. Their hearts always beat as one, and they lived that way until the end."

According to the Florida Sun Sentinel, the couple met on a blind date in 1927, arranged by one of Mr. Cohen's brothers.

In addition to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the couple's lone immediate survivor is Mr. Cohen's sister, Flo Cohen of Pikesville.
