A cat survived a two-hour flight to Toronto and a one-hour car ride inside its owner's suitcase, even though security at St. John Airport had scanned the bag before boarding. The cat, named Ginger, had apparently slipped into owner Mary Martell's suitcase while she was packing and wasn't noticed until Martell got to her Niagara-on-the-Lake hotel.

A 13-year-old Pennsylvania girl won $25,000 after typing "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins" on her cell phone in less time than 200 other competitors in a text-messaging competition. Morgan Pozgar typed the Disney classic's "biggest word I ever heard" in only 15 seconds, beating out the former national text-messaging champ, 21-year-old Eli Tirosh of Los Angeles. Morgan, who estimated she sends more than 8,000 text messages every month, described her phone as "pretty worn in," according to UPI.

Not sure of what to do after the bicycle she was riding started having problems, a Palm Beach, FL, woman stole a running car. Kathleen Mary Pedemonti now faces a grand theft auto charge, Florida Today reported Tuesday. When her bicycle failed her on March 26, the 50-year-old woman jumped into a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo that was left running in front of a Malabar Road Subway and simply drove away.

Denmark's Prince Christian accidentally punched his mother Princess Mary in the eye when he excitedly waved to royal fans from the palace balcony. The princess, her 18 month-old son and her husband Crown Prince Frederik joined Queen Margrethe to celebrate her 67th birthday at Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace on Monday. Just after noon, the royal family walked out onto the balcony to wave to thousands of well-wishers waiting to catch a glimpse of the popular monarch.

Police in Altamonte Springs, Florida are investigation an unusual robbery where the suspect allowed the clerk to call 911 and apologized after the woman said she might be having a heart attack. However, the robber, who also carried a handgun while looting the Kangaroo Express store on State Road 436, also took $30 and a few cigarettes.
