Prosecutors said Ray Joeseph Dandridge, 29, slowly suffocated a Virginia family, robbed their home and then ate food stolen from their refrigerator as he drove away. Dandridge has been charged with three counts of capital murder for the slaying of Percyell Tucker, 55, his wife, Mary Baskerville-Tucker, 47, and her daughter, Ashley Baskerville, 21 in January.

The U. S. Department of Defense says it has identified an airman who has been missing in action (MIA) since the Vietnam War. Air Force Maj. Burke H. Morgan, U. S. Air Force, of Manitou Springs, Colo. , was buried Sept. 7 beside his wife, Mary, at the U. S. Air Force Academy, as part of his U. S. Air Force Academy graduating class' 45th reunion.

An Oregon woman shoots her husband in the back because he shot and killed her pet chicken. Lane County sheriff's deputies say they are certain Mary Gray, 58, meant to shoot her husband. However, they are less sure if Stephen Gray, 43, intended to fire at the chicken.

The Associated Press (AP) reports that a woman who has been teaching Sunday School at The First Baptist Church in New York for 54 years was suddenly dismissed from her job on August 9 because of her gender. The teacher, Mary Lambert, received a letter of explanation along with her dismissal from the Reverend Timothy LaBouf as he quoted Biblical scripture in his literal interpretation that woman are not allowed to teach or have authority over men.
