Mayor Jorge Telerman of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has installed two Web cameras and several microphones in his office so that his constituents can monitor everything that is going on inside the local chief executive's office in real time.
The Web site dubbed "The Mayor's Reality Show," is reported to be a huge success with the public.
His spokesperson told UOL Noticias Populares, "It was the mayor's own idea to bring the people closer to him and to know better what he does."
The show initially ran for three hours at www.buenosaires.gov.ar but the spokesperson says the mayor's office is planning to be online in a full-time capacity.
Telerman said, "I want the people to know how it is to run a city."
