A man killed in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood earlier this week has been identified by the medical examiner as the president of the San Francisco branch of the Hells Angels motorcycle club, authorities said. San Fransisco Police Department investigators say that Mark "Papa" Guardado, 46, was the person found shot at about 10:30 p. m. Tuesday outside a bar in the city's Mission District about a mile from the group's club house in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Guardado died a short time later at a local hospital.

An Alaska woman living in a remote area who was found outside her cabin, trampled and bitten by her stallion, died of those injuries before medical help could reach her, according to Alaska State Troopers. Sherill Yates-Lukenich, 48, died at home of her injuries Saturday before medical personnel could reach her. Her husband did not see the attack but heard noises and found her in the barn.

The Macomb County, Michigan coroner ruled Friday that a 42-year-old woman found dead last month in her blood-covered condo without any sign of injuries to her body died of drinking too much water. The coroner reportedly found that Andrea Jean Bean had died of low sodium levels from a medical condition that caused her to drink large quantities of water, which in turn triggered an electrolyte imbalance in her body that disrupted her heart's rhythm, resulting in a seizure and eventually death.

A Tokyo man was arrested by authorities after seeking medical treatment for a snake bite from one of the 51 venomous snakes he was illegally keeping in his apartment. Nobukazu Kashiwagi, a 41-year-old port worker, was bitten on his finger by an eastern green mamba as he tried to feed it.

Children who are clumsy and poorly coordinated are more likely to become obese when they become adults, according to Swedish and British researchers. Researchers assessed a number of children testing cognitive and physical functions. They found that children who performed least well in the tests were more likely to be obese at age 33. It is also likely that these children do not engage in sports.
