Three Mexican shark fishermen claim that they survived more than nine months at sea in a small boat by eating raw fish and drinking rain water as they drifted thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean. The fishermen said they left their home town of San Blas on Mexico's Pacific coast last October to fish for sharks. But due to some mechanical problems at the boat and adverse winds they were blown towards the sea.

A Mexican smuggler is arrested with 88 pounds of cheese hidden in a secret compartment in his truck. The Chevy truck was stopped for a routine secondary examination when officers using an X-ray machine saw the outline of 16 packages hidden behind the seat. At first, they thought illegal drugs were in the bulky packages.

After making a help plea on the national television in January, then 1,235 pound Manuel Uribe has finally shed 200 pounds. The Mexican aims to lose other 770 pounds. According to the AP, being bed-ridden by his weight for five years, the 41-year-old mechanic in the northern industrial city of Monterrey, made a desperate plea for help on the Televisa television network in January.

A man gave a package to one of his female co-workers that seemed to startle everyone. Mahlon Hector pleaded guilty to delivering a rare Mexican red-kneed tarantula in a box addressed to the colleague. While his coworker got that gift, he gave his resignation to his boss.
