Prince William's Training Ship Seizes Nearly A Ton Of Cocaine Near Barbados

The crew of the HMS Iron Duke, the ship Prince William is training on, seized nearly a ton of cocaine Saturday. The HMS Iron Duke stopped a 50-foot speedboat which the Iron Duke's crew spotted hundreds of miles northeast of Barbados. The sighting raised suspicions because it is unusual to see such a small vessel so far out at sea.

Wimbledon Strikes Back At Pigeon Invaders

For as long as Wimbledon has existed, it has had to contend with the pigeons, invaders hell bent on dive-bombing players, leaving droppings on tables, and even taking a stroll on Centre Court. On Monday, tournament officials escalated the conflict by calling in special forces to cull the offensive. Wimbledon's usual security measures to keep the pigeon offensive at bay were just not cutting it on Monday. It was time to move to more extreme contingencies.

World Celebrates 30 Years Of Spam

Inventor Of LSD Dies

Albert Hofmann, the inventor of the mind-altering drug LSD, died Tuesday at the age of 102. Hofmann was a Swiss chemist who discovered lysergic acid diethylamide-25 by accident in 1938 while studying the medicinal ingredients in plants. One April day in 1938 a bit of LSD seeped onto his finger. That's when he discovered the psychedelic effects of the drug.

Prince William In Trouble After Landing Chinook In Girlfriend's Yard

Heir to the British throne Prince William is once again in hot water for allegedly landing a $20-million military helicopter at a garden in Bucklebury, Berkshire -- the family estate of his girlfriend Kate Middleton, British press reported Monday. The Daily Mail reported that Royal Air Force Chief Marshal Glenn Torpy "erupted with rage" after finding out that Prince William landed the Chinook helicopter assigned to him during a training flight on his girlfriend's yard.
