Mother Cat Nurses Abandoned Rottweiler Puppy

Cats and dogs are the worst enemies but a mother cat has proved this notion wrong by nursing a six-day-old abandoned Rottweiler puppy along with her own kittens. Workers at the Meriden Humane Society have named the pup Charlie and he now nurses and plays alongside the black and gray kittens recently born to Satin - the mother cat. A couple of months ago, Charlie's mother was spotted by neighbors near a road after she gave birth to two puppies; one of which was stillborn. It is believed that the presence of a stillborn in the litter makes it difficult for the mother dog to adopt the healthier pup.

Giant Baby Born In Mexico

Employees at a Mexico hospital are gleaming in excitement over a recent birth. The reason of their excitement is the enormous size of the baby. Antonio Vasconcelos, who has been nicknamed "Super Tonio" by visitors weighed 14. 5 pounds at birth, well above the normal weight for a newborn. According to hospital authorities, the baby is perfectly fine and drinks 5 ounces of milk every three hours.

Israeli Spa Offers Snake Massage

An Israeli health and beauty spa is now offering a new service for its customers - a snake massage. The treatment comprises of six non-venomous serpents massaging the client's aching muscles and stiff joints for $70. Located in northern Israel, Ada Barak's spa makes use California and Florida king snakes, corn snakes and milk snakes for the massage. Barak believes that physical contact with the reptiles can be a soothing experience.

Calon Wen Organic Milk To Feature Farmers Searching For Love

A farmer's cooperative in North Wales, offering organic food has come out with a unique idea of finding love for its 20 farmer-members. The dairy cooperative Calon Wen is introducing "Fancy a Farmer?" campaign by placing the pictures of lonely farmers on its milk cartons. According to the Daily Post, the cartons of Calon Wen's organic milk will have the stickers of three men and two women looking for a date. The men and women were all members of the cooperative, the report said.

New Generation Refrigerator To Detect What's Missing In It

South Korean's Samsung Electronics is developing a new generation refrigerator, equipped with radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, which detects when its contents are running low or approaching expiration dates. According to the Korea Times's Wednesday edition, in addition to automatically sensing inventory needs such as when milk or juices run low, Samsung's refrigerator could even send a shopping list to its owner's cell phone or to the supermarket.
