A half-foot of snow on the ground meant it was difficult to drive or fly and may have helped ensure that 47 of the 60 suspects were home that law enforcement officials were looking for in a Mingo County, W.VA drug raid, state police said.
Authorities say that during the two-day raid they also seized 137 Alprazolam tablets, 264 Oxycodone tablets, 336 Hydrocodone tablets, 38 MDMA (Ecstacy) tablets, 125 Diazepam tablets, 1.5 grams of crack cocaine, 73.3 grams of cocaine, 1,019 Marijuana Plants, $13,208.00 in cash and three vehicles.
W.VA State Police worked with the Williamson Police Department on the raids, which were the culmination of a six month investigation.
State troopers were also assisted by conservation officers, the FBI and the National Guard.
