Now even the Philippine president admits experiencing hunger in the last three months. The Philippine leader made the statement after a survey by the Social Weather Stations showed that one out of every five Filipinos experienced hunger in the last three months.

Citing the importance of relationships in this time-constrained world, an Irish mortician has begun broadcasting funeral services on the Internet so that people don't have to miss out on the farewell service of a relative just because they are separated by distance. The service, thought to be first of its kind in the U. K. , allows mourners to log in to a funeral broadcast with a user ID and password supplied by the mortician's firm. S. Clarke and Son Funeral Directors have installed a network of cameras and microphones in the churches attached to their funeral homes. The service is offered as free and optional extra in the Clarkes' funeral package.

Angela Bustillo, who was crowned Miss Catabria 2007, was debarred from the title after it was learned that she was the mother of a three-year-old boy. The incident has sparked the issue of sexism in the country since, according to Bustillo, no such limitations apply to contestants in the Mr. Cantabria contest. Bustillo, 22, said she knew the pageant's rules that bar pregnant women, or those who already have children, from taking part in the contest, but that she thought they were obsolete.

Woman Chooses Early Labor So Husband Can Attend Bears Game

An Illinois woman chose to go for early labor, two days before her due date, so that her "Chicago Bears" besotted husband could watch them play against the "New Orleans Saints" during Sunday's NFC Championship game. Colleen Pavelka, 28, said her decision to induce early labor was out of her fear of going into labor during the game, that might have resulted in Mark, her husband, missing out on the game. "I thought, how could (Mark) miss this one opportunity that he might never have again in his life?," AP quoted the 28-year-old Pavelka as saying.

Model Thrown Off Bus For Being Too Tall

A driver threw a 5-foot-11-inch former model off a bus because it was so crowed she would have to stand and her height would block his view of the mirror. Josephine Kime, 23, a TV production worker who lives in Chelsea, said was boarding the No. 9 bus to Kensington High Street in London when the driver told her to get off.
