Students can typically forget a number of things when they go to school, namely their books, notes, or term papers. But the one thing many universities are certain that students never forget is their cell phones - and that is why Japanese universities have decided to incorporate student identification cards on their phones. From next April, all new students at Kanagawa Institute of Technology near Tokyo will carry an ID on their phone that lets them register for classes, open locked doors and surf the Internet for school-related information.

More and more Blackberry users that are addicted to their phones are suffering from "blackberry thumb. " For those who peck away on their handheld devices, doing everything from sending e-mails to text messages, their addiction can become serious. Repetitive motion injuries, which have long afflicted desktop and laptop computer users, are invading the mobile handheld world.

A substitute teacher pulls out a diabetic student's insulin pump, which regulated his blood sugar levels, after mistaking it for a cell phone. Cliffton Hassam told East Ridge High School officials his insulin pump began beeping in class. But, before he could turn it off, Hassam says substitute teacher Richard Maline ripped it from his leg.

Dutch hooligans are being kept to cheer for their favorite football teams and cause chaos in their own private homes rather than at the stadium. The Dutch ministry for Justice is making sure that they are kept away from local stadiums in order to avoid any havoc during games by voice detection.
