Police officials arrested a woman Sunday for attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots at two men whose dog caused damage to her Christmas decorations. Reports said that 28-year-old Ethel Shannon McKinney opened fire and shot one man in the upper torso and arm, while the other man was also wounded in the arm.

After a power outage plunged the entire town of Shelehov in northern Russia into complete darkness, doctors working on a woman about to give birth have to rely on the light provided by the mobile phones of the hospital staff but nevertheless successfully delivering the baby. According to hospital staff, doctors were just starting to work on 22-year old Rima Pivavora sorting out delivery complications when the town was engulfed in darkness.

A man whose dying wish was to be buried along with his mobile phone has to be dug up again after his family discovered they had forgotten to insert his SIM card. Arso Banjeglav, 67, of Montenegrin, was so pre-occupied with sending text message to his friends on his mobile phone that he told his son 38-year-old son Brano of his wish to be buried with it.

The Britons have a request when they die: they want to buried alongside their pet's ashes, a study said. According to the survey conducted by British Charity Age Concern to more than 100,000 respondents, that being buried with their pet's ashes is the most regular memorial service demand.
