A man dressed in drag recently robbed a New Orleans Burger King at gun point. The man, dressed in a floral print dress and a wig, was caught on BK's security camera last week when he climbed, barefoot, into the restaurant through the drive-through window. He is seen holding a gun as a cashier gives him money from the cash register.

Reminiscent of the Y2K jitters that agitated the world at the change of the millenium eight years ago, a similar scenario is taking place in some gas stations across the country that still use mechanical pumps. Their gas pumps lack gears to register a sale beyond $3. 99 a gallon. Gas prices, however, have exceeded $4 a gallon.

In an strange court case, an Egyptian man has been sentenced to 1,000 years in prison after being convicted of laundering over 280 million Egyptian pounds ($52 million). Abdullah Kamel Mohamed, 42, was handed the sentence by a Giza court for scamming at least 480 people out of their money for several years, a court official said. "He would promise people that he would invest their money for them and bring them good profits, but he would take the money and disappear," an official close to the case said in comments carried by AFP.

An audit will be conducted on the trustees of the Toronto Catholic District School Board after Ontario discovered excessive spending by the trustees. Despite the lack of legal authority, the trustees voted for themselves medical, dental and life insurance coverages, plus a yearly $8,604 car allowance. Those with excess funds from their discretionary budgets were generous to schools, charities and sports groups of their preference, which were not authorized under the country's Education Act.

Heir to the British throne Prince William is once again in hot water for allegedly landing a $20-million military helicopter at a garden in Bucklebury, Berkshire -- the family estate of his girlfriend Kate Middleton, British press reported Monday. The Daily Mail reported that Royal Air Force Chief Marshal Glenn Torpy "erupted with rage" after finding out that Prince William landed the Chinook helicopter assigned to him during a training flight on his girlfriend's yard.
