A women in Brazil has been arrested for hiring people to kill two women to get a job with the man she loved. According to police, Carolina Farias Santos paid a friend about $1,300 to kill Monica Tamer, an employee at the company Santos formerly worked for. Santos said she had fallen in love with a man while working a temporary stint filling in for Renata Borelli, who was on maternity leave.

William Hootkins, famous for being the Rebel X-Wing pilot "Red Six" in Star Wars IV; has passed away at 58. Hootkins was fighting a battle with pancreatic cancer, after being diagnosed earlier this year. He passed away at St. Johns Hospital, near his home in Santa Monica, California.

The city of Rome is prohibiting goldfish bowls, after animal rights activists say the bowls are harmful to fish. The classic spherical fish bowls are banned under a new by-law. It also prevents fish or other animals being given away as fairground prizes.

Chinese science company, Guangzhou Haokian Bio, has registered its name for trademarks on contraceptives that will be named as a tribute to former President Bill Clinton and his former-intern Monica Lewinski. The condoms will have the Chinese spellings: Kelitun and Laiwensiji.
