Officials from Miami Beach, Florida are exploring ways to outsource new sand from foreign beaches after the usual methods of replenishing the beaches has dried up. New beaches from where sand could be exported include the shores of Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos Islands and Mexico, the Christian Science Monitor reported Wednesday.

Retired teacher Richard Perkins, father of three and grandfather of three, doesn't have a clue how his phone number was posted on the Web Site Students of the World as Brad Pitt's number. The Web site belongs to six French teenagers who share numbers of their favorite celebrities.

A father who wanted to teach his 14-year-old son a lesson and made him wear a large sandwich-board sign saying, "I abused and sold drugs. " As the teenager walked up and down the sidewalk Wednesday in front of Cedar Bluff Middle School, the father told WATE-TV, "I'm not out here doing this to humiliate my son. "

Prague Mayor Pavel Bem, who was restricted from climbing Mount Everest from the Chinese side last week, will scale the world's highest peak from the Nepali side. A news report published by the Prague Daily Monitor said Chinese security personnel had not allowed Bem to enter Tibet although "he had valid visas and the permit to climb the peak" from the northern route.

Two Sumatran orangutans from Zoo Atlanta are playing video games as researchers plan to study cognitive, memory, reasoning and learning abilities of these intelligent species. Zoo visitors are very curious to see four-year-old Bernas use his lips and feet to play a game on the touch-screen monitor. However, he is not as computer-friendly as his mom Madu who loves to spend time playing computer games.
