A 31-year-old woman got the shock of her life when she found a meter-long python under her bed.

Canadian Press reported that the snake, a non-venomous python, somehow got into the basement of her apartment.

The woman was reportedly trying to sleep when she suddenly heard and touched the python slithering around her bed.

The tenant then called 911 to ask assistance and two Mounties took action getting rid of the snake. The non- venomous reptile was reportedly turned over to Berger Blanc animal shelter.

Although no one was hurt, police said it has yet to locate the owner of the snake.
