An argument over toilet paper overflowed into a fight, with the maids cleaning each other's clocks - one with a mop with other with a plunge. The scuffle sent one motel maid to the hospital and another to jail. According to police, the maids at the Siesta Motor Lodge in North Charleston armed themselves with a plunger and mop after accusing each other of taking toilet paper from each other's cleaning carts.

FBI officials have arrested a man suspected of smuggling two Mexican migrants into the United States and selling them as part of a sex slave trade. Eliseo Escalante Santizo, 30, of Fort Myers, was taken into custody Monday at the Lee County Justice Center for a court hearing on unrelated charges of battery and resisting an officer with violence.

Police report a man who painted his face blue and tried to rob a hotel was later arrested when officers noticed stains on his neck, ears and forehead that he hadn't washed off properly. Authorities say Daniel Peter Clark, 19, was charged with robbery and assault.

A Florida man's attempt to get rid of a mouse backfired when the rodent set his house on fire. Luciano Mares said he caught the mouse inside his home and placed it in a pile of burning leaves, reports The Associated Press

Reverend Lonnie Latham, leader of the Southern Baptist Convention, has been arrested in a motel parking lot on a lewdness complaint. The Reverend Latham propositioned a plainclothes policemen investigating the area where male prostitutes allegedly frequent. Latham preaches to the congregation at the South Tulsa Baptist Church and is on the executive committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. In the past, he has been a vocal opponent against homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
