A 34-year-old mother and her teenage daughter are arrested for stealing from an out-of-town businessman they met in a bar. Eugenia Garrison and her 14-year-old daughter met a man from Texas in a local bar Monday night who brought them back to his hotel room.

The man told police that when he was in room with the duo, he saw the girl steal $360 from his dresser and make a run for it. When he tried to stop the young girl, she said she would claim he raped her.

According to AP reports, a hotel employee called the police when he heard Garrison and her daughter talking about rape. However, when police reached the scene they did not find the two in the room but at the Wal-Mart next to the hotel and determined there had been no assault.

Upon investigation, Garrison confessed she took the money. Police later arrested the two for misdemeanor theft.

It was still unclear why the Texas businessman asked the 14-year-old to his hotel room but he admitted he just wanted to "hang out" with the two. There was no evidence of any crime.
