In a bid to earn money, a 37-year-old unemployed suburban mother of five taught her children to beg on the streets of New York. Antoinette Jones pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

The teenage daughter also added that their mother made them walk several miles from their home to the supermarket, where they were forced to stand outside and beg for money, which often ended at $30 to $40 at a time.
Jones could face up to a year in jail if convicted. Westchester Child Protective Services removed Jones' kids, 18-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl, the 11-year-old boy, the 7-year-old boy, and a 5-year-old boy, to place them with a family friend.
