The mother of a Cincinnati Ohio teenager, who has been accused of robbing a bank, says that her son needed money for college tuition and other expenses.

Nineteen-year-old Andrew Butler and another man were arrested Tuesday about 4.5 hours after a Valley Central Savings Bank in suburban Reading was robbed. Police recovered an undisclosed amount of cash.

AP quotes Franki Butler, Andrew's mother as saying, "He just really was struggling, working two jobs here, you know, temp jobs, two jobs and trying to get the money."

Andrew Butler, a University of Toledo student, remained in custody Friday at the Hamilton County jail. The other man, 21-year-old Christopher Avery, a student at the University of Cincinnati posted bond and was released.

Both are charged with aggravated robbery. The two are now scheduled for their next hearing on 27th of this month.
