A man who was jailed for urinating in a bottle of Mountain Dew was reported to be suffering from a shy bladder that affects his ability to urinate in public. Due to that condition, Anthony Mesa, 22, failed to take a court-ordered test. He finally offered to take the test another way, including with a blood sample.

A Georgia woman was cited for a DUI while riding a horse after she steering the animal into traffic. A Pontiac Bonneville struck the horse injuring two young passengers and the driver. Heather Darnell, 22, of Mountain City was airlifted to the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga and the horse reportedly survived the incident. Ancella Gragg, 32, a 13-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy were all treated at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, Ga.

A 603-carat diamond was sold for more than $12 million at an auction in Antwerp, Belgium. The South African Diamond Corporation, which owns Graff jewelers, purchased the diamond. It was named the "Lesotho Promise," after the African mountain kingdom where it was discovered.

An American woman from Denver, Colorado has been hailed a hero after catching a baby which had fallen from the third floor balcony of an apartment. Police said that Mary Bussey and her son Brandon, were on their way to attend a junior football game in Denver, Colorado when the cries of a baby caught their attention.
