A convenience store clerk at Deltona's Pix Convenience Store pleads no contest to felony charges for urinating in a bottle of Mountain Dew that was drunk by a customer who became extremely ill. Anthony Mesa, 21, was taken into custody after a brief hearing with Circuit Judge James R. Clayton and will be sentenced at a future date.

Never failing to make the offbeat news with his quirky sayings or ideas, the Commander of Chief of the world's most powerful nation has challenged the Slovakian Prime Minister to a grueling foot race. President Bush offered the idea as a joke when he saw Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda's broken leg, who recently had surgery after suffering a fracture of his lower right leg.

EBay decides to stop the auction of a 1982 BMW supposedly belonging to one of the gunmen in the Columbine High School killings. EBay spokesman Hani Durzy tells the Rocky Mountain News, "If the owner wanted to sell this car, there's nothing stopping them from doing so. They just can't market it as being owned by Dylan Klebold. "

A mountain lion got a little too close to an Altadena neighborhood and was tranquilized and removed by authorities, much to the relief of local residents. According to California Department of Fish and Game spokesman, Steve Martarano, reports of the lion came in around 7 a. m. , resulting in a nearby elementary school being placed on lockdown.
