estern Europe's highest peak Mont Blanc (French for white mountain) is taller than ever as snow piled atop its summit, experts described it as a weather change related occurrence. The height was found to be 15, 783. 79 ft (4,810. 90 m) on Sept. 15 and 16 respectively - a 7. 05 ft (2. 15 m) increase in two years.

An American hit the Guinness Book of Records as the world's top stone skimmer after throwing a stone that skipped on water 51 times. It was last July 19 when Russell Byars, 43, from Pennsylvania, shattered the previous world record of 40 skims.

Nepalese authorities say they are already tired of countless acts of nudity on Mount Everest and are taking drastic measures to stop disgraceful acts on the world's highest mountain. Tsering Sherpa , head of Nepal's official mountaineering body, said, "People taking their clothes off and so on, these kind of things we are trying to stop. "

olice had an easy time arresting a bank robber in Englewood, Colorado after he used his own account check as a note to demand money from a teller. A man walked into the Bank of the West on September 5 and gave the teller a note written on a bank check that said, "Give me all the money in your drawer Now!"

Nearly a dozen 7-Eleven convenience stores will wear a new face replicating the famed Kwik-E-Marts from "The Simpsons" cartoon. Kwik-E-Mart, which was designed in the show to poke fun at 7-Eleven Inc's more than 6,000 North American stores, features unhealthy snacks like Buzz Cola, KrustyO's cereal and Squishees -- a spin off of 7-Eleven's Slurpees.
