A woman in Russia reportedly survives a fall from the 11th floor of her apartment building. Russia's Channel One television says Tuesday that the 21-year-old woman from the Ural Mountains region of Bashkortostan is being treated for concussion, bruises and a displaced spine.

A 40-year-old man is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of toy Lego sets. William Swanberg, who remains behind bars pending a $250,000 bail, allegedly stole Lego sets from Target stores in Oregon by switching the bar codes of the boxes, covering over the pricing labels of expensive sets with labels from inexpensive ones.

A dog trapped near the Great Smoky Mountains is rescued after 16 days. Ranger Rick Brown spent hours rigging up ropes to lift the 2 1/2-year-old dog out of the hole.
