Lobster Spared From Being Cooked As A Meal Because Of Its Blue Color

Steve Hatch and his uncle Robert Green decided to spare the rare lobster caught by them from being cooked because of its color. The 1 1/2 -pound bright blue-colored lobster caught last weekend was spared from being cooked and eaten as a meal because of its rare occurrence. The blue color of this lobster, caught Sunday morning in one of Hatch and Green's lobster traps at the mouth of the Thames River, is said to be as a result of an extremely rare genetic mutation.

Americans And Japanese Interpret Facial Expressions Differently

A new research study investigating the interpretation of facial expressions by individuals shows how cultural boundaries between them affects their psychology. Researchers found that while Americans tend to judge emotional status of a person by looking at the mouth, Japanese are likely to do so by looking into the eyes. The research team led by Masaki Yuki, a behavioral scientist at Hokkaido University in Japan, confirmed the hypothesis using two studies - one using emoticons and one using manipulated photographs of real people.

Well-Dressed Robbers Superglue Man To His Exercise Bike

A group of four "nicely dressed" but armed robbers hijacked a man and forced him to take them to his home where they superglued him to an exercise bicycle and robbed. The man remained fixed on his bike for at least three hours until his wife returned back and called for help. The strange incident happened with 50-year-old asthma patient Kobus van Deventer on Wednesday afternoon while he was driving his car through Johannesburg's northern suburbs.

Indian Man Threads Snake Through Nostrils

A man from the Indian state of Chennai is bidding for a place in the Guinness Book Of World Records by inserting live snakes into his nostrils and then pulling them out of his mouth. Manoharan, who goes by the name "Snake Manu," has reportedly been performing the feat for quite a few years. According to a local journal, Manoharan threads two tree snakes - several inches long and as thick as a finger - through his nostrils and opens his mouth wide to pull them out.

British Royal Weddings' Memorabilia Goes On Display

Private letters and mementos giving a rare behind-the-scenes look at royal British weddings have gone public at Windsor Castle. The items on display include extracts from Queen Victoria's journal written shortly before her 1840 marriage to Prince Albert, in which she describes him as "excessively handsome. "The journals are part of a collection put together to mark the diamond anniversary of Britain's Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
