In an attempt to prove his love for his wife, a British man from Isle of Wright turned his Land Rover to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", an all time favorite car model from the 1960's film that goes by the same name. Retail store manager Nick Pointing spent thousands of dollars and four years to make his car into the same model as shown in the movie. Now the couple plan to take a 12-month career break and tour the world with the car raising money for charity.

Following a four-hour debate in the council chamber on Thursday night, a Swedish town has finally approved a large bronze statue of Pinocchio, an animated marionette whose nose grows if he lies. The erection of the controversial statue stirred debate in the two towns and finally the proposal was approved by a vote. Created by Italian author Carlo Collodi, the character has a 1940 Disney film of the same name that was illustrated by Swede Gustaf Tenggren.

Viewers of a news show broadcast in a Phoenix-area cable television station were shocked when their television screens started showing hard-core pornography for a few minutes instead of a regularly scheduled health show featuring former NBC News anchor, Tom Brokaw. KPPX-TV's cable provider Cox Communications was flooded with calls from anxious viewers Monday night who complained they saw scenes from a hard-core adult movie on their television screens.

You might want to think twice before you go around saving a damsel in distress, like one would-be Wisconsin knight knows now. James Van Iveren is facing criminal charges after he mistook the sound of a woman screaming for a rape in progress, and burst through his neighbor's door armed with a sword. According to a police affidavit, Van Iveren kicked open the door of an apartment without warning and pointed a sword at the owner, who was watching an adult DVD at the time.

In a scene that could be mistaken for a thriller movie, a 66-year-old Brazilian saved his grandson from the deadly trap of a 16-foot-long Anaconda by beating the snake with rocks and a knife for half an hour. Joaquim Pereira told the Agencia Estado news service, "It was agonizing, I pulled it from one side, but it would come back on the other. "
