A police intern assigned to solve cold cases at the San Diego Police Department has found the killer of a postal worker 36 years after the crime was committed. The siblings of victim Gerald Jackson thanked 24-year-old criminal-justice major Gabrielle Wimer Thursday in the TODAY studio in New York for the arrest of Gerald Metcalf, 60, last week in Texas.

Grandma Shoots Husband To Death Over Mental Abuse

A 75-year-old wife is facing murder charges after shooting her sleeping husband to death because she was fed up with his alleged mental abuse. Arkansas resident Myrtle Marie Walter confessed to Benton County police that she shot Paul Walter, 74, with a . 357-caliber revolver thrice on Saturday while he was sleeping in their bedroom. Waiving her right to an attorney, Walter told detectives she killed her husband also because he wanted sex.

Dismissed Workers Rampage At Indian Factory, Kill Boss

Indian authorities have arrested and charged with murder 60 dismissed workers of a car part plant outside New Delhi for bludgeoning to death their employer on Monday. Those arrested were among the 125 former workers who barged into the factory in Greater Noida and beat Lalit Kishore Choudhary, head of Graziano Transmissioni India, with sticks and iron rods after he tried to pacified them. Police said the 47-year-old victim suffered severe blows in the head and bled to death.
