The members of a house in eastern New Jersey are confused over a mysterious metallic object that crashed through the roof and embedded itself in a wall Tuesday night. The golf-ball sized object weighs nearly as much as a can of soup. The federal officials who were sent to the scene ruled out the possibility of it belonging to an aircraft.
According to AP reports, the police on Wednesday displayed the rough-surfaced object with a metallic glint.
Lt. Robert Brightman said, "There's some great interest in what we have here. It's rather unusual. I haven't seen anything like it in my career."
The officer is trying his best to get the object identified within 72 hours from an unnamed agency.
On Wednesday morning, police received a call that the metal object had punched a hole in the roof of the single-family, two-story home, damaged tiles on a bathroom floor, and then bounced, sticking into a wall.
The object, which did not have any traces of radioactivity, was heavier than a usual metal object of its size.
