Saudi Arabia has arrested over 50 men for "flirting" with girls at a Mecca mall. Prosecutors are currently investigating charges that include wearing indecent clothing and playing loud music in order to attract female attention.

The courtroom battle between the top two Filipino TV networks escalated on Thursday as one channel obtained a judge's order stopping a media research firm from surveying viewers and another channel suing the other for libel. A court in Quezon City ordered AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines, Inc. to stop gathering and releasing data on nationwide TV ratings for 20 days. ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. sought the order in a suit filed against AGB Nielsen last week.

The FBI and local law enforcement are spreading the word that a "jury duty" scam is spreading across the nation. The FBI and the federal court system have also issued nationwide alerts, warning people about this scam.

Fishermen in the Philippines on Sunday threatened to launch a "fish strike" if the government of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo failed to stop the oil companies from raising and overpricing the prices of petroleum products in the country. "If fish strikes across the country are necessary to compel the Macapagal-Arroyo government and the oil mafia composed Petron, Shell and Caltex to stop, rollback and put an end to corporate practices of price manipulation and overpricing, then we will call our colleagues to go on a nationwide fish holiday," the fisherfolk alliance Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas said in a press statement.
